The Annual Members Exhibition will showcase the talents of more than 30 artists who support the Hunterdon Art Museum and are part of the Museum's community. This year, over 50 artists submitted entries to Juror Kristen Accola for consideration in this year's exhibition. The exhibition will feature works in mixed media, painting, sculpture, ceramics and fiber art. "The Members Exhibition is an important tradition," said Marjorie Frankel Nathanson, executive director at HAM.
"We are fortunate to have so many gifted artists as Members."

Frightening But Important Information
| 29 June, 2012 11:06
I just listened to a program on WBAI Radio ...99.5FM, GUNS AND BUTTER.
You can go to the wbai.org website and download the program.
It deals with the issues of finance essentially ruling the powers of our world and our world economy.
The speaker dealt with the issue of activism, the desire to correct the state of our world situation. The frightening part of his talk was the infiltration of the CIA into activist organizations like OCCUPY.
If this interests you, go to the WBAI.org archives and take a listen.
Democracy Now is also a good radio program to listen to on WBAI...8am.
In case you don't know already, I am the NJ reporter for the station. I'm on the air Mondays at 7:45 am. Give a listen.
Save the date!

CMDE Dancethon
and
50th Anniversary Gala Performances50th Anniversary Gala Concert
CMDE is proud to announce its 50th Anniversary Gala Concert on June 16, 2012, at the Fair Lawn Community Theater (10-10 20th Street, Fair Lawn NJ). This is a truly unique opportunity to see a range of accomplished contemporary dance artists on the same stage. Stay for the reception, and you can meet and eat with the artists!
Some of our distinguished guest artists will include: Jose Limon Company member Mary Ford performing "Lady Macbeth", a solo choreographed in the 1950's by the legendary NYC-based artist Mary Anthony. (A longtime friend and teacher of CMDE Founder Shirley Ubell, Mary Anthony is over 90 and still teaching and mentoring dancers at her downtown studio!)
CMDE alumna Josie Mosely is bringing Graham Company dancer Sam Pott to perform a piece commissioned by The Martha Graham Company. Josie will also perform an original solo based on memories of working with Shirley. Javier Ubell, a principle dancer with the Oregon Ballet, will be flying in to grace us with his spirited dancing. Javier took his first dance class as a toddler with his Aunt Shirley at CMDE! And of course the new Claire Porter piece will be on the program, as well as performances by advanced CMDE students!
Seating is limited - reserve your tickets now! Reserved Seats are $50 and must be purchased in advance. Open seating is $30 in advance and $40 after 6/13. (Tickets for children, seniors, and people with disabilities are $25 reserved, $15 open seating in advance, and $20 after 6/13.) Go to www.cmde.org or call to purchase tickets.
